Project Controls is a specialization, and hence a separate function

Project controls has been recognized as a separate function in many organizations.

These organizations in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction sector are able to reap the benefits of having the Project Manager focus on managing the people and clients more effectively.

The structure shown below was implemented for various clients. The Project Controls Engineer takes on a supporting role to provide the PM with necessary tools and project performance tracking mechanism. The project manager is relieved from the intensive, time-consuming activities of day-to-day Project Control functions.
